i started my vintage jewelry shop today! queer owned! asian american owned! first gen owned!
TLDR: i’ve always wanted to find time to help my mom and after i quit my job and took care of my mental health, i finally had the energy to source some of her pieces and put them on Etsy.
for the past 10 years, my mom has tirelessly and joyfully collected vintage jewelry pieces from all over the Bay Area and Chongqing, China. her passion is sharing her knowledge of the beautiful gemstones and vintage designs of the pieces she collects. her shop in Chongqing recently closed because of the pandemic, and she has lost the ability to connect with many of her clients in person.
fortunately, she still makes appearances at the Flea Market on Sundays, so if you wanna meet my amazing mom, Shan Yi Jin, visit her on any Sunday from 7am-3pm at the Alemany Flea Market!

as a part of my drive towards living a life of purpose, serving others, and promoting self love and helping my mom fulfill her mission, i’ve committed to helping my mom post inventory on this Etsy account, 5 pieces every week. I am getting a head start now but with my new found time after quitting my job, I’m thrilled to be able to continue to help my family and my mom’s mission.
